The squid is a mysterious animal. It is a living creature in which it has multiple purposes. It is used as bait, food, and just living. It is a prey for lots of animals but it is still a predator. It lives in the ocean and can be huge depending on the species (giant squid). It has special characteristics and is closely related to other marine cephalopods such as the cuttlefish. It lives in the deep ocean parts and is hard to get that far down. They are an abundant species all around the world.

The Giant Squid is a carnivorus marine cephalpod mollusk that have a long, torpedo shaped body and thaqt move through the ocean using a jet of water forced out of the body by a siphon. At one end surrounding a beak like mouth, powerful enough to cut through a steel like cable. The giant squid has Five pairs of arms one longer than the other {tentacles}.One piar thinner and longer than the restis used to catch food and bring it to the mouth. Just past the mouth is the eyes, which are the largest in the animal kingdom, are getting to be as big as a basketball {18 inches across}.

Physical Characteristics
 
It has eight arms, two longer feeding tentacles, a beak, a large head, and two eyes larger than basketballs! These soft-bodied cephalopods are fast-moving carnivores that catch prey with their tentacles, then poison it with a bite from beak-like jaws. They move by squirting water through a siphon, a type of jet propulsion. They have a long, torpedo shaped body. Just past the mouth are the eyes. Eyes that are the largest in the animal kingdom, getting as big as eighteen inches across.
